The second annual Kansas City Literary Festival was held May 17, and it had a distinctly Bloomsday flavor!
Our friend Larry Kirwan from Black 47 participated in several panels, Brian Shawver hosted a panel and the wonderful Sylvia Stoner organized a fantastic introduction to Ulysses with scenes staged in O'Dowds, various spots on the Plaza and concluding with the Molly Bloom soliloquoy on the main stage. We even had a mock "Bloomsday Gazette" and a mini-Bloomsday Books operating from the event.
Hope you had as much fun as we did!
